Balatonkarting
A Veszprém kart track's website, rebuilt from scratch around the booking

Balatonkarting is an indoor kart track in Veszprém. Its WordPress site listed a phone number and a price table, so every booking went through someone picking up the phone. The rebuild was made unasked, from scratch, as a working proposal: a 10-minute booking grid, a card-paid deposit, gift cards, lap times from the track's timing system, Hungarian and English from one dictionary.
Main functions
- A 10-minute booking grid with free slots from the track's Google Calendar; the write re-checks and backs out of a clash
- Card deposit through Teya; a booking the calendar refuses is refunded automatically
- Signed, idempotent webhook: a re-sent webhook repeats the missing step and nothing else
- Gift cards with a live card preview; the code arrives by e-mail
- Lap times read from RaceFacer, the track's timing system, with a saved snapshot when the feed is down
- Opening status in the header, refreshed every minute
- Hungarian and English from one typed dictionary
- A garage door that rolls up on load, and two karts that ride the margin onto the drawn track
- 10 minthe booking step; the browser and the server share one rule
- 5 daysfrom an empty repo to card payment through Teya, 2026-07-29 to 2026-08-02
- 121commits between 2026-07-29 and 2026-09-19
- HU + ENone dictionary, typed so that a key missing in either language is a type error
